WeaveWorld: Bridging Cultures Through Thoughtful Commerce
WeaveWorld is a lifestyle e-commerce platform that curates sustainably-sourced textiles, apparel, and home goods from India, tailored for the U.S. market. From post-surgical shapewear to handwoven throws, every item is designed to offer comfort, elegance, and cultural authenticity.

CLIENT & VISION
Weave World, is a startup sourcing high‑quality textiles, apparel, and home goods from India for sale to U.S. institutional buyers and retail customers.
Their mission is simple - blend sustainable, artisan‑crafted home textiles, stylish apparel, and curated goods into a lifestyle that reflects both design aesthetics and mindful sourcing.
Indian-made products often arrive on U.S. shelves stripped of their heritage and story. Meanwhile, niche markets—like apparel for post-surgical healing—are underserved in both design and emotional sensitivity.
Here's the challenge - How might we design a modern e-commerce platform that:
Tells the story behind every product & highlights the human, healing, and handmade aspect they're bring to the market
MY ROLE
As the Lead UX/UI Designer, I partnered closely with the client to understand their brand and diverse product range—from home textiles to post-surgical shapewear—while balancing the needs of both institutional and individual buyers.
I crafted a responsive, visually cohesive storefront designed to reflect their values and drive meaningful engagement.

CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS
Many product types across target audiences → resolved through clear menu hierarchy and segment‑specific landing pages.
Zero pricing placeholders (e.g. on shapewear board showing $0.00) → designed fallback messaging prompting contact or request for quote, improving clarity and trust
Brand coherence across categories: Established a uniform visual language, consistent fonts/colors, and emphasis on handcrafted sourcing.
